Writing

I can write, interview, profile, create glossaries, and otherwise respond to, contextualise, or translate your project, exhibition, or object from one medium to another.

In my writing, I like to weave connections between projects, broadly construed, their audiences, and the context in which they were made. Through written responses, projects can live on beyond their display.

I’m particularly interested in questions of autonomy, illness and dignity, care, shelter and hospitality, or, more succinctly where the body and spatial politics meet.

I’ve written about the relationship between daily writing and the city; about housing, healthcare, and caring in the pandemic; and about cruising and the natural world. I’ve published essays exploring cruising in documentaries, queer road trips, and the closure of gay bars.

Originally trained in Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths and in Creative Writing at Royal Holloway, I’m well placed to respond creatively to your project.

Commissioning

Do you need to create an online or print publication about your project? I can help.

I’ve commissioned stories from Man Booker prize winning authors as a founding editor with 3 of Cups press, schools resources by artist-educators at the RA, and Allan Wright award winners for Artangel’s Red Lines project.

My experience and extensive network of artists, writers, editors and agents stands me in good stead for commissioning a successful series for your blog, substack or publication.

Producing

If you’re looking to create compelling resources that young people, teachers, schools, university students, or the general public will want to use in your exhibition, project, museum, gallery, or sculpture park, I can help.

I’ve co-produced resources with young producers, I’ve created digital walking tours, I’ve worked with educational consultants to create digital learning resources, I’ve created instructional, art-making videos for families.
